Performing 5 Daily Salah is an obligation for every Muslim and is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. Salah is considered an essential part of a Muslim's life as it helps them stay connected to Allah and remain mindful of their faith.
Offering daily salah (prayer) is an important part of the Islamic faith, and it is essential to strive to improve this habit.
Abdullah (R.A.) asked the Prophet (S.A.W.) "Which deed is the dearest to Allah?"
He (S.A.W.) replied, "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times.” ……
(Sahih Bukhari: 527)
Many Muslims these days struggle with making the habit of performing Salah regular and consistent. Following are some tips on how to improve the habit of performing Salah in order to stay on track with this important obligation.
Here are some tips that may help:
Understand the significance:
Understanding the significance and benefits of salah can motivate you to be more regular in offering it. Salah is a means of connecting with Allah, seeking His guidance and blessings, and achieving spiritual fulfillment.
Create a routine:
Establishing a consistent routine for offering salah can help make it a habit. Try to offer your prayers at the same time each day, and make it a priority in your daily schedule.
Eliminate distractions:
Find a quiet and clean space for offering salah where you won't be disturbed or distracted. Put away your phone or any other device that might interrupt your focus.
Make dua:
Make dua (supplication) to Allah for help in being consistent with your salah. Ask Allah to make it easy for you and grant you the motivation to perform it regularly.
Seek accountability:
Find someone who can hold you accountable for offering your salah. This could be a friend, family member, or even a religious leader who can check in with you regularly and provide encouragement.
Focus on quality:
Don't just rush through your salah. Take the time to perform it with concentration and devotion, reciting the verses of the Quran with sincerity and contemplation.
Start small:
If you're struggling to offer all five daily prayers, start with one or two and gradually work your way up to all five. Remember that consistency is key, and even a small step in the right direction is significant.
Reflect on your progress:
Take some time to reflect on your progress and how your daily salah is benefiting you. This can help motivate you to continue with this habit and strive to improve it even further.
May Allah grant us the chance to become faithful worshipers as we Pray to Him 5 times a day.
Islam promotes a holistic approach to worship that encompasses spreading justice and compassion in the world through one’s daily interactions with people. Smiling at someone, visiting the sick, and defending an innocent person who is being oppressed are all considered acts of worship as well. These forms of worship exemplify the importance of good manners in Islam. Muhammad (pbuh) once said, “The best among you are those who have the best character.”
